Deep River Police Services - Programs

  • R.I.D.E - The "Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere" Program is a sobriety testing program used by police in Canada. The roadside spot checks usually appear during the holidays but the program lasts all year. Police road side spot checks are set up on roadways where motorists are randomly stopped, questions asked and if the officer suspects a driver is driving under the influence (DUI), a roadside breathalyzer will be used.
  • Community Engagement - The Deep River Police Service will be providing a series of seasonal meetings. presentation on Road Safety and Enforcement at the Regular Police Services Board meeting on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
