Deep River Nursery School

The Deep River Co-operative Nursery School provides a stimulating half day program for pre-school children ages  2 1/2 to 5 years old. It is located at Mackenzie High School and is in operation from Sept. to May.

Morison Public School

Our schools strive for academic excellence as well as physical, cultural and social development. T.W. Morison Public School is for grades JK to 6. Students then graduate to Keys Public School for grades 7 and 8.

St. Mary's Separate School

Keys Public School

Keys School was built in 1955 and named after Dr. DA Keys,
a vice-president of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) at that time. In 2005, Keys Public School  moved over to Mackenzie High School and offers grades 7 and 8.

Mackenzie High School

Mackenzie High School offers grades 9 to 12. Mackenzie has several excellent sports teams and clubs as well as a first rate musical production often involving half of the schools population! Also unique to Mackenzie High School is the Tamarack program which is a one-semester intensive program where students earn four credits while experiencing their world through the wonderful outdoors as well as creating a magazine issue.

Deep River Science Academy

Deep River is also home to the The Deep River Science Academy which is a private not-for-profit organization which was founded in 1986. The academy offers talented high school students a six-week summer program that allows them to test drive a scientific career in leading Canadian laboratories and earn academic credits.
