Visiting Deep River

With our scenic location on the wooded banks of the Ottawa River and our proximity to many more inland pleasures, we combine an array of sports and outdoor adventures with a rich cultural mosaic and festive community calendar throughout all four seasons.

Our winter amenities include cross-country ski trails and downhill skiing facilities, as well as an excellent network of snowmobile trails with links throughout Ontario. Ski races and winter carnivals are also a large part of the local wintertime package. In addition, the renowned Christmas Craft Sale is a stunning presentation of the creations of artisans from far and wide.

Summertime and the living is easy. Take a boat or canoe on the Ottawa River for miles in either direction, through unspoiled wilderness with an abundance of fish and wildlife. Families will enjoy our beautiful sandy beaches, and our scenic trails.

Spring and Fall are our seasons of change. While springtime is for gathering maple syrup, fall is meant for admiring the glorious colours of the changing leaves. Whatever the season, whenever you arrive you'll find peace and quiet, water and trees, and friendly people. A wide range of campgrounds, lodges, and motels will answer your vacation needs.
